Some of our favorite parks include Trigono Park in the Northwest area, we love Fox Hill, and a new park that is specifically geared towards toddlers is Trails Park located in Summerlin. You can check out all the parks we love in Summerlin by clicking here.
Some great walking/stroller friendly trails that we are frequent visitors to are Lone Mountain Regional Park as well as our new favorite Red Springs Boardwalk, which is located at the base of Calico Basin. We are big Gymboree fans! Their new location off of Rampart and Charleston is so big and open, we love how much bigger the play area is. The different lessons and themes each week that our teachers put together for us are lots of fun and tons of learning occurs during our 45 minute class each week.
They have classes for all ages – the toddler classes are split into Walkers, Runners and Explorers. Each grouping is a mixed age of any kiddos qualifying for that age range.
We are currently in the Runners class, which is 16 months to 24 months. This class focuses on opposites while learning – our teachers are engaged and understanding in allowing our toddlers to explore what they have set up on their own terms. Every class ends with parachute time as well as every toddlers’ favorite activity – BUBBLES!
Gymboree also offers a music class, art class, open gyms and preschool prep classes. There are set days and times for every age grouping which allows toddlers their own chance to discover and explore safely. Gymboree has many options in regards to memberships – you can always head in and try a class before signing up.
