The Carson Valley Swim Center has so much to offer.  It is an indoor and outdoor swim center and includes 2 slides, 2 diving boards, 6 pools, a workout room, therapy options, water aerobics, school groups, certification courses, swim lessons, CPR certification and more.

The swim center is located across the street from Douglas High School, right after the roundabout.

Parking

There is a parking lot, but it does fill up fast. Street parking is also available if needed.

Cost:

Adult $6, Family $18, Youth/Senior/ Disabled $4. It is always best to check their website for current pricing.

Birthday Parties & Rentals

They have different party and rental options. They provide space to rent and host parties. Some of the rentals are only available during the Summer.

Swim Lessons

The swim lessons offered are parent child (6mo-4yr, 30mins), preschool (3-6yr, 30 mins), school age (5-13yr, 45mins), and adult. Lessons are offered as drop or classes and also sessions.

They also offer diving lessons for individuals who have passed swimming lessons passed level 3.

Tips for visiting

Here are our tips for your visit!

  • There is both a men’s and women’s locker room. Both have showers, bathrooms, and storage for your things.
  • There are two family restrooms that are great to go in with your little ones and have a private space to change in and out of your bathing suit.
  • The therapy pool can be used for small children after 12pm.
  • Make sure to bring shoes that can get wet!
  • There is a great kid pool that is shallow and has fun water fixtures

Our Experience

The Carson Valley Swim Center is a great spot to take your kids.  I love that it is open year round with their indoor pools so kids can get water exposure year round.  We love going for a few hours and I expect as my son gets older we will spend more time there.

Candice is a new mom to a little boy born in April of 2022. She moved from Los Angeles to Gardnerville in the summer of 2019 and loves exploring everything Northern Nevada has to offer. Candice has run 2 marathons, enjoys hiking and backpacking with her family and their two dogs, and loves heading out to watch a good movie for date night.
