In March, I attended one of the free infant and toddler family engagement sessions offered by CCSD Early Childhood Department and presented by Lakeshore Learning® and it was such an awesome class! My friend told me about it and I was curious, so I signed up for the next session and it was so worth it.
I couldn’t keep this for myself, so I reached out to the CCSD Early Childhood Department to get all the info to share with you for upcoming events.

Infant and Toddler Family Engagement Sessions
Family Engagement sessions are for families with littles from birth to three years of age.
All of their sessions include materials free to the families to help extend learning at home after the Family Engagement Session. Materials are age appropriate, so make sure you are signing up for the correct session and age group.
In Person Family Engagement sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes long. Families are able to engage with the instructor, team and family advocates, and with one another during the session. Families will have access to use the learning materials during the session. Families will take home all learning materials used during the session to extend learning at home. Classes can hold up to 50 families per session.

Virtual Family Engagement sessions will be held on Zoom. Sessions are 1-hour long and do require participation using the unmute or chat features. Materials highlighted in the session will be available for pick up at the center locations listed beginning the next school day after the session. Classes can hold up to 100 families per session.
How To Sign Up for Ages 0-3 Classes
- Click here to fill out their form.
- Input your contact information.
- Select the session you’d like to sign up for
- Identify the date and time you can attend (by your child’s age group)
- Fill out the form and wait for a confirmation email (typically within 48 hours of the event.
- After attending, they will share a survey form during the session. Fill it out ASAP. This secures your free Lakeshore Learning items and they will have a time to pick your items up.
- Attend the session and learn how to use the items to their maximum potential and expand your learning at home.

Pre-K Family Engagement Sessions
In Person Family Engagement sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes long. Families are able to engage with the instructor, team and family advocates, and with one another during the session. Families will have access to use the learning materials during the session. Families will take home all learning materials used during the session to extend learning at home. Classes can hold up to 30 families per session.

While I am sharing these locations, every session varies and can be a different location.
- Myrtle Tate Elementary School; 4150 E. Carey Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89115
Virtual Family Engagement sessions will be held on Zoom. Sessions are 1-hour long and do require participation using the unmute or chat features. If you do not participate, you will not be able to receive materials. Materials highlighted in the session will be available for pick up at select locations. Classes can hold up to 100 families per session.
How To Sign Up for Ages Pre-K Classes
- Select the session you’d like to sign up for and scan the QR code.
- Fill out the form and wait for a confirmation email (typically within 48 hours of the event happening). Note, some are first come first serve (virtual) and you can not pre-register, but it will cap at 100 participants.
- Attend the session and learn how to use the items to their maximum potential and expand your learning at home.
