Nevada Moms was created to bring together families and businesses within their respective communities (Northern Nevada and Southern Nevada).

As the #1 Family Guide to Nevada, we pride ourselves on being written by locals for locals.

Articles submitted for consideration should be of interest to readers of Nevada Moms, have a tone that is appropriate for Nevada Moms, and be written by a single person.

We like articles that introduce new ideas and advance conversations around topics and trends that engage our readers–think op-ed rather than content marketing. We appreciate articles that are centered around family life, being a parent, local reviews, or starting a family.

Become a Nevada Moms Contributor

*Please only apply if you feel you can commit to 1 article per quarter (4 articles TOTAL per calendar year).*

We have a talented group of regular contributors that write on a volunteer basis for the site, providing a minimum of one post per quarter. 

We ask that contributor spots do not serve as a promotional space to discuss one’s personal business or service. Instead, we are looking for honest and organic pieces from writers who would like to share a portion of their experience of motherhood in Nevada and surrounding areas.

Contributors also get access to exclusive media events, freebies, free promotion across our pages, and exposure to all of our sponsors.

Please fill out the following form with as much information as you can provide. If you do not have a website, that is no problem! However, if you don’t have online writing samples available,  we would ask that you upload a 300-500 word writing sample that we can review to ensure it is a good fit. Thank you!

We want to have a diverse group of moms/dads so we can cover more ground in our area.
Please submit a writing sample either by providing a URL of your own blog/website or by providing a 300-500 word writing a sample in the box below for review.

Nevada Moms isn't written for one "type" of parent. We want to make sure that our readers get perspectives from all different parenting and life styles.

Articles submitted should have 2-6 images taken by you that we can use for the article.
The app is free and we use it because not all of our contributors are active on Facebook.
* Please be honest. We do have deadlines each month when articles are due. It takes time for us to onboard contributors and if you have any doubts about committing, this may not be for you. Most of our contributors have been with us for 1-3 years.

*Due to the influx of applications, we will not be able to respond to every application unless we have accepted your submission and are interested in moving forward.

Guidelines

Submitted articles must be 800-2000 words. We cannot offer to pay for contributed articles, but if they’re engaging to read and useful to our audience, we will energetically promote them, just like any other story that runs on our site.

All contributor posts must be unpublished articles only, intended strictly for NVMoms.com. Contributors will receive a full set of guidelines prior to being accepted.
