An indoor trampoline park called DEFY opened in Sparks in 2019. DEFY is located in the Legends Outlets, above the Nike store near Scheels. Remember the NNM DEFY Sparks tour when they first opened? Well here’s a DEFY Sparks review.
With options for a trampoline park and jump house playground already nestled in the Sparks/Reno area, I wondered whether DEFY Sparks would be different.
My family has frequented this trampoline park since it opened. I have two daughters, ages 2 and 4.5. I am sharing my review and our experiences based on numerous visits.
There are different price categories depending on the day of the week, jump duration and age. For example kids age 6 and under, jumping for one hour costs $11. Age 7 and older is $15. Kids 2 and under jump for free! The cost to jump increases on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
It is up to you how long you want to jump. “Flight” times (jump duration) are purchased in 30-minute increments, beginning with one hour. Plan to purchase jump socks for $3 if it is your first time. The socks are reusable, so this can be a one time charge as long as you bring them with you to each visit.
Northern Nevada Moms Discount
DEFY Sparks gave us an exclusive discount code for our followers! Whether your booking your time online or in-person you’ll get 20% of your total jump cost! Use code NVMOMS for 20% off online or mention us in person for 20% off.
DEFY also introduced membership pricing. If you plan on jumping more than one day out of the month, then this is a killer deal!
For $20/month members can jump for up to 2 hours a day. Otherwise, the cost quickly adds up when the kids are having fun and continuing to jump.
I can’t forget to mention that Monday through Friday the park offers Kid Jump for ages 6 and under from 10-11am. One accompanying parent is free during that hour. Since my kids are under 6, supervision by an adult is required.
However, I was pregnant for the majority of this past year so there was no way I could jump. For parents that don’t plan to jump, and prefer to observe the park offers “observer” wrist bands. I was overjoyed about this.
The park is open Monday – Thursday 10 am – 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am-9 pm, and Sunday 11 am – 7 pm.
We recently visited DEFY Sparks while we had family visiting. My niece and nephew are 4 and 8, so if you have one child under 6 and one over 6, not to worry – the park allows them to jump during this time as well.
Open Floor Plan
I love that DEFY Sparks has such an open floor plan. There are multiple trampolines, a dodgeball area, aerial silks, battle beams, foam pits, a zip line, swings, ninja course, tight rope and much, much more! It really is suitable for jumpers of all ages – my husband loves it!
I can honestly say we have not had a bad experience while visiting DEFY Sparks. The staff is always friendly, and the facility is always clean.
The jump floor is kept separate from the entry-level, but everything still feels open and visible which is important with kids running around. There are even couches on the jump level where observers can wait, or jumpers can take a break.
Like with most activity parks, this too offers reserved rooms available for parties. When you reserve a room for a party, usually a pizza and drinks are included for the guests. There is a small snack shop that offers drinks, pizza and snacks for purchase.
Upon visiting DEFY Sparks, everyone must sign a waiver. There are lockers provided for all visitors to keep their personal belongings. These lockers have built-in locks where you set your own code, and they are free to use.
The friendly staff provides the rules at the entrance to the activity level. On this level, there is staff present to help with activities like the swing or the zip line. They also walk around the facility to remind everyone of the rules according to the activity.
If you are looking for somewhere to take your children where they can release some energy, DEFY Sparks is a great option. It isn’t limited to only children. Take a chance, I think it is a great place to have fun and get a good workout. The facility is family-friendly, provides helpful staff and a clean area to escape the cold.
