Fall Bucket List

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

So many memories are made at the pumpkin patch! Support a local farm and buy your pumpkins there! Let the kids pick our mini pumpkins for themselves and watch their faces light up!

Bake an Apple Pie

My kids absolutely love baking! This is something they can easily help with! This apple pie recipe is our favorite!

Jump in The Leaves

Multitask with raking up the leaves and let the kids jump in them. You can also gather some leaves for different arts and crafts or sensory bins.

Sit By The Fire

Whether it’s inside or outside nothing quite says “fall” until you’ve cozied up with the fire turned on. If you don’t have a fire pit at home, connect with some family or friends or head to a restaurant near you to enjoy!

Go on a Hike

Enjoy being outside and the view of the leaves changing colors! There are some amazing spots to hike in Nevada, so of course, we had to include them on our bucket list!

Here are some options if you are in northern Nevada.

Toast S’mores

My kids are obsessed with smores!  We have this s’mores kit and it’s perfect.  Even if you don’t have a fire pit you can do them indoors using your oven.

Read a Fall-Themed Book

One of the best ways to get into the fall spirit is by reading themed books! Pete the Cat is always a hit.

Watch a Halloween Movie

Now it wouldn’t be a fall bucket list without a good Halloween movie! At what age can kids watch Hocus Pocus?

If your kids are too young for this classic you can always turn to:

  • Room on the Broom
  • Goosebumps 2
  • HalloweenTown

Pop some popcorn and snuggle up!

apple picking - fall bucket list

Go Apple Picking

Apple picking just sounds like the perfect outing doesn’t it? Early fall is ideal for apple picking and you would be surprised to find out how close you may be to a local farm!

If you want to enjoy a family outing a short drive away, we recommend Apple Hill!

Visit a Corn Maze

Fresh air, corn maze, and family time…what more do you need?

“Boo” Your Neighbor [FREE PRINTABLE]

Gather a goodies basket of Halloween/fall-themed items (It can be simple from the Target dollar spot). But we also list some fun items in the post linked below.  Place the items in a basket or pumpkin and drop them off at a neighbor’s doorstep!

Don’t forget to add the printable we linked in the post above to your basket, so your neighbor knows the rules.

Drink Apple Cider

Enjoy your apple cider while checking off something else on your list! The cool crisp mornings or evenings make apple cider so delicious.

For our Las Vegas readers, go check out the cider at Gilcrease Orchard!

Carve pumpkins

If carving pumpkins sounds messy you can always paint them instead. Turn it into a competition and have a pumpkin carving contest with the family.

Bake with Pumpkin

The choices are endless! Pumpkin bread, cookies, pie, smoothies…you name it there is a recipe for it. Yummy!
