Celebrate Fathers Day In Reno and Beyond

Food Truck Friday

Date: Friday (every Friday) 4pm-9pm

Location: 1800 Idlewild Dr, Idlewild Park Reno, NV 89509

Bring the family down for Food Truck Friday at Idlewild Park, Reno. Over 45 food, dessert, craft beer, wine, and spirits vendors. Live Music. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs to enjoy on the grass.

Reno Aces Game

Date: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

Location: Greater Nevada Field

Take the family out to the Reno Aces baseball game!  Enjoy the game and good food.  This Friday and Saturday there will be fireworks following the game! Sunday is family day you can enjoy $1 hot dogs throughout the game!

The Village

Date: June 17 & 18

Location: The Village at Rancharrah

Head to the VIllage this rfiday and Saturday!  Friday night they are having a movie night from 7-10pm.  They are playing The Princess Bride.  Saturday is family day, you can enjoy arts, crafts, a bounce house and more from 11am-3pm.

Reno Rodeo Parade

Date: Jun 18, 2022@ 10am

Location: Downtown Reno

The 2022 Reno Rodeo Parade brings the flavor of Reno’s community and western heritage to life. Be a part of the sights and sounds of local, regional and national entries as you make your way along Virginia Street from 9th Street, Downtown, through the Arch and over the Truckee River.

Reno Rodeo Kids Day 

Date: June 19, 2022, 9am-1pm

Location: Reno Livestock Events Center Indoor Arena

Reno Rodeo Kids’ Day is a free event hosting local businesses and non-profits to aid in educating kids on the tradition of rodeo, agriculture and the western lifestyle. Please join us for a fun-filled day dedicated to the kids in our community.

Family Day at Bundox Bocce

Date: Every Sunday from 12pm-4pm

Location: Bundox Bocce

Bring the family for FREE bocce play every Sunday from noon to 4pm.

Automobile Museum

Date: June 19th 

Location: National Automobile Museum

On Fathers Day the National Automobile Museum will be playing the movie cars on (included with admission). Show times are 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Other Ideas

Let dad have the morning to rest or even sleep in!  Followed by breakfast in bed.  Maybe put that honey due list on hold for the weekend!  A few other activities you could enjoy as a family could be a backyard baseball game or at a local field, invite the family over for a family game board day, or head out for a family game of miniature golf.

This is such a cute idea and dad will love it!  Ask your kids the questions below and record their answers.  You can compile a short video together using an app like inshot see a short clip of mine below!  If you cant do a video then you can still write out the kid’s responses!

Quality Time

Whatever you decide on for fathers day in Reno, I hope you get to focus on some quality time together as a family.  I have learned that these days are just as special to the kids as they are to the parent we are celebrating.
