We all would love a little extra me time and I have found one way to get it is through working out. But I don’t always get a workout in unless I have child care for my kiddos. Finding gyms with child care in Reno and the surrounding area can be a daunting task.

Sports West Athletic Club

Child Care Hours: Mon – Thurs: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm / 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday 9:00am- 2:00pm / 4:00pm-6:00pm, Sat-Sun: 9:00am-4:00pm, and      Sat – Sun: 8:45 am to 1:00 pm

Age Requirement: 6 months – 12 years

Other: On Friday nights they also offer Kids Night Out from 6pm-11pm for $10 and includes pizza. reservations are required for Kids Night Out.

Momentum Martial Arts

Child Care Hours: No child care but they are “Parent and Me Classes”

Age Requirement: All ages (most common are babies to older homeschooled children)

Cost: Included in classNote that the gym does offer actual child care but they have a self-care child play area that is in the same room as the workout area.  They also offer a MAMA Strong 6 week workshop that does have childcare on site for $5 per class. 

Biggest Little Baby

While they are not currently offering childcare during fitness classes (they hope to be back to this by summer), children and babies are welcome to attend fitness classes with their parents. Children that are old enough to safely play independently are welcome to be in the playroom during fitness classes. See the schedule here.

She serves on the board for Northern Nevada Health Systems, and Northern Nevada Sports and Recreation, and she is passionate about her community.
