October is my favorite time of year. The air gets crisp, the pumpkin patches pop up, and all things spooky and festive take over Las Vegas. For our family, one event that has become a can’t-miss tradition is the Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve – one of our favorite Halloween events in Las Vegas!
It’s the perfect blend of family-friendly spookiness and fall festival fun, and after attending for a few years, I’ve learned a few tips that every mom should know before going. Plus, we’ve shared about Springs Preserve many times – we are paying members and have been going for years. Check out our full review of Springs Preserve here.

Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve
The Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve is an annual event that transforms the beautiful grounds into a wonderland of Halloween excitement. Think trick-or-treating stations, carnival games, live entertainment, and plenty of themed decorations.
It’s an ideal way to get into the Halloween spirit without the terrifying scares of a full-blown haunted house. It’s geared toward families, but as I’ve learned, some ages will enjoy it more than others.
What To Expect
The event spans the entire outdoor grounds of Springs Preserve, which means there is a lot of walking. My advice? Bring a stroller or a wagon, especially if you have little ones. You’ll thank me later. You are given a map upon entry that guides you through the various attractions.
The main draw for most kids is the trick-or-treating. There are stations spread throughout the property where friendly characters hand out candy. A word of caution for parents: the candy is not allergy- or dye-free, so if your child has specific dietary needs, it’s best to bring your own special treats and bags.

Beyond the candy, there are a variety of other activities. There are also carnival games, craft stations, and live entertainment like story time or performers. My son enjoyed the “Boo-tanical” Garden, which is decorated with fun lights and Halloween decor – that is also where the candy stations are.
There are also food trucks and the Springs Cafe on site.
Location
Springs Preserve
333 S. Valley View Blvd
Las Vegas, NV 89107
Parking
Free on-site parking is available at Springs Preserve. However, be warned: these spots fill up extremely fast, especially for the general public admission time. Basically if you are a member and get there within the first hour or so you have a spot, after that members and public alike will need to park elsewhere.
There is overflow parking at Meadows Mall, but it’s a longer walk and you have to cross a street light. 110% bring a stroller or wagon. We even have stroller lights if needed.
Hours
The event typically runs on select dates in October.
For 2025, it’s scheduled for October 23-26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
A major tip for members: they get exclusive early access from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., which is a huge benefit.

Cost
- Non-members: $14 (ages 3+)
- Value members: $8 (ages 3+)
- Donor members (Gold & Platinum) receive free admission
- Free for children ages 2 and younger
My personal recommendation? Become a member. It’s the only way to truly enjoy this event without the massive crowds, plus you save money on tickets.
You can purchase tickets HERE. Don’t wait – it will SELL OUT quickly. Weekdays are better than weekends!
Pros & Cons of Visiting
Pros:
- Family-Friendly Fun: The decorations and characters are spooky, not terrifying. It’s perfect for most kids, especially those aged 3 and up.
- Variety of Activities: There’s more to do than just trick-or-treating. The carnival games, crafts, and live entertainment keep things interesting.
- Stroller and Wagon Friendly: The paved paths make it easy to get around with a stroller or wagon, which is a lifesaver with tired little legs.
- Exclusive Member Access: The ability for members to go early is a game-changer. You get to enjoy the event for two hours with far fewer people, making the lines for games and candy much shorter.
- Beautiful Scenery: The Springs Preserve itself is a gorgeous venue, and seeing it decorated for Halloween is a real treat.
- Yummy Food: The food trucks last year were great! Plus you can always check out their cafe which I do feel is a bit pricey and not as great as it used to be.
Cons:
- Very Crowded: If you’re not a member and you go during the general admission time, be prepared for extremely long lines for everything. It can be overwhelming and frustrating. Also, as it gets darker, it is so much easier to lose track of your kids.
- Not for All Ages: While older kids love it, kids under 2 may not have as much to do. The majority of crafts and activities are better suited for ages 4+.
- Candy Concerns: There are no options for allergy friendly or dye-free candy, which is a big consideration for many families. It was disappointing to see the Southern Nevada Health District booth without healthier alternatives. We brought treats and snacks to swap out!
- Cost: It can be pricey for a large family, and the only way to get a good value is by being a member.

Tips for Your Visit
Become a Member
Seriously, this is the number one tip. The ability to go right when the doors open with a smaller crowd is invaluable. Plus, your membership pays for itself with multiple visits throughout the year.
Go Right When They Open
Even if you are a member, go right at 4:00 p.m. to beat the crowds that build up.
Family Wristbands are a MUST
Once you pass the check-in there is a family wristband table! GRAB THEM AND PUT THEM ON YOUR KIDS.
Include your contact info in case you guys get separated – which can happen as it gets more crowded and darker with little lighting in some areas. I love that they offer this!

Bring Your Own Bag
While they provide small bags, it’s always a good idea to bring your own trick-or-treating bag, especially if you have special dietary needs.
Wear Costumes
Most kids and many adults get into the spirit and wear their Halloween costumes. No masks allowed.
Charge Your Phone
With so much walking, you’ll want to have your phone fully charged for photos and to access the event map.
Plan Your Route
Look at the map online beforehand and plan which stations you want to hit first to avoid back-tracking. We didn’t care for the candy as much, so we focused on activities and crafts first and then did candy stations.
Have you been to Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve?
Our family’s annual trip to the Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve is a beloved tradition. While it’s a bit of a strategic operation to avoid the crowds, the joy on my son’s face as he trick-or-treats and runs around makes it all worth it.
If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly Halloween event in Las Vegas, I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you get a membership!
