Annual Hometowne Christmas Tree Lighting

The annual tree lighting ceremony will be held the night before the parade, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. next to the large gazebo on the corner of Victorian Avenue and Victorian Plaza Circle.

Join us at City Hall after the Chamber Christmas Parade for an evening of fun family holiday events. Starting at 7:00 pm, we will have our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting event outside in front of City Hall.

Celebrate the Holidays in Historic Downtown Truckee! For 45 years the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association and Truckee Rotary have collaborated to share in honoring Truckee’s community. Small trees are trimmed by over 600 local elementary students, the Truckee Rotary provides Santa, hot cocoa and service, ClickTahoe.com takes photos with Santa and TDMA provides Holiday Lights throughout downtown Truckee. The night culminates in the lighting of the traditional Bud Fish Tree Lighting Ceremony in remembrance of this beloved Truckee community member.

Join us for our 7th annual “Lights of the Valley” Holiday Bazaar from 2-6PM. It is the perfect time to find the perfect gift. Shop with our local crafters and vendors!

Kacey Queen is a co-founder of Nevada Moms

Kacey received her bachelor's in Psychology while cheering for the University of Oregon. They moved to Reno in 2014 and have loved it ever since. She is a dedicated homeschooling mother to her three children.

She serves on the hospital board for Northern Nevada Health Systems and is passionate about her community.

Kacey loves exploring with her family and finding family-friendly events and activities! A few of her favorite things include family adventures, traveling, working out, coffee, and dessert!
