Dear Imagination Library Clark County Families & Supporters,
We want to share some important news about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Clark County. Our primary source of funding came from an education focused grant that unfortunately, was not renewed in this most recent Nevada State Legislative session.
At this time, your child’s book deliveries will be paused after the October 2025 book. New registrations for the Clark County program are also on hold.
We know how much these books mean to your children and your family. Imagination Library has helped thousands of little ones in our community build a love for reading, while giving parents the joy of sharing story time together. Many families have told us these books quickly become favorites on the bedtime shelf.
We are working hard to bring this program back as soon as possible. Our commitment has not changed, and we still believe every child in Clark County deserves access to books and early literacy support.

That’s where Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library steps in, like a fairy godmother with a bookshelf in her purse. By removing the financial barrier and delivering books directly to homes, the program ensures every child gets a chance to embark on their own literary adventure.
Things To Know
- Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is only made possible through local partners who help raise the funds for and manage the program in our community.
- Only available for ages newborn to five years old.
- Books vary by age – each child within an age group receives the same monthly book.
- It’s FREE!
- Books are reserved two months in advance, so if you sign up now, you will be in the queue to receive your first book in about 8 weeks.
How To Register Your Child For Free Books
- Head here to “Check Availability” on if Imagination Library is available for your area/zip code.
- If available in your area, you will be asked to complete Registration online after agreeing to Terms and Conditions and verifying eligibility. (You are also able to print out the registration form to send it if you are eligible.)
- Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation noting that your registration is “Pending” with a link to validate your email (don’t forget this step!). Validate your email and then you’ll receive another email to set up a password to activate your account.
- Once your registration is approved through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, you can expect your first book to ship within 8 weeks.
