Boulder City

Story Time on the Train (canceled through July for maintenance)

Date: Jul 16 at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm

Location: Nevada Southern Railway Museum, 601 Yucca St Boulder City, NV 89005

Story Time on the train on the Nevada Southern Railway. The kids enjoy a coloring page, craft and an age-appropriate story read by one of our docents.

Everyone rides the train from the depot to Railroad Pass and returns while enjoying the activities along with their parents and family. StoryTime is on each of the regular departures for the day.

Date: Every Monday and Wednesday from 3-5pm (Jul 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27)

Location: Water Street Plaza, 240 S. Water St.

A variety of sports activities and games will be set up each day for your enjoyment. From kickball to tag, each day will be a new activity. Ages 5-18.

FIT4MOMS Stroller Strides Classes

Date: Every Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday at 9am, Thursdays at 7:30pm

Location: The Green Behind Whole Foods

Join FIT4MOM for Stroller Strides every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 9 a.m. and for Body Boost on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

Your first workout is complimentary! Classes meet at The Green behind Whole Foods.

Music in the Courtyard

Date: Every Friday & Saturday from 7-9pm

Location: The Courtyard at The District at GVR

Enjoy music from some of the best local artists in town every. Music in The Courtyard will be held from June through August, on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm to 9pm.

Archery Open Range

Date: Every Saturday (Jul 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) from 8am – 1pm

Location: Whitney Ranch Recreation Center; 1575 Galleria Dr. Henderson, NV 89014

Ages 5-17; $4/day
Ages 18+; $7/day

The range master facilitates safe archery target shooting through coordinated directions to groups wishing to practice their skills. Bring your own equipment (no broad tip arrows allowed) or rent it from us for $10 per hour or $20 per day. Ages 5-18.

Movies on The Green

Date: Every Saturday, May 21 – Jul 9 starting at 7pm

Location: The Green (located behind Whole Foods)

Join us Saturday nights on The Green for May & June Movie Nights. Bring a blanket and some take out from any of your favorite The District restaurants and we’ll bring the movies.

Seating begins at 7 PM and movie starts at 7:30 PM.

Free Public Skate @ Lifeguard Arena

Beat the heat, and get on the ice! The City of Henderson and Lifeguard Arena are teaming up to offer free public skate to our community on select dates this summer. Skaters of all ages and experience levels are welcome!

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Date: Jul 16 from 4-6pm

Location: Henderson Multigenerational Activity Pool; 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy. Henderson, Nevada 89012

The Cardboard Boat Regatta challenges amateur boat builders to design, build and navigate boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard and duct tape. The Regatta is open to participation from families, businesses, schools, youth groups, groups of friends, and nonprofit organizations desiring to build a boat and participate.

Awards will be given for the following:
“The Allure of the Seas” – Best Looking
“The Staten Island Ferry” – Carrying the Most People
“The World Is not Enough” – World’s Fastest Yacht
“The Titanic” – Best Sinking Ship
“The Queen Elizabeth” – Best All Around

Mighty Medley Obstacle Course

Barrel through obstacles, balance your way over a narrow bridge, and finish with a splash on our floating obstacle course that’s sure to be a blast for anyone who loves to get wet. A swim test is required before participants can use the obstacle course. Open swim areas will also be available. Ages 8-14

HulaDay Luau and Festival

Ward 4 Car Appreciation Day Show
