VIVA LE CIRQUE

Viva Le Cirque! is a large-scale spectacular show starring today’s most amazing cirque artists. Featuring an international cast including former Cirque du Soleil acrobats, Viva Le Cirque! is a homage to the great world of cirque. Gymnasts, aerialists, contortionists, hand balancers, jugglers, and daredevils take us through a supernatural voyage into the mind of a lost traveler who crash-lands, of all places, inside the theater at the Grand Sierra Resort

FEED THE CAMEL

Date: Every Wednesday June 1 – September 14, 5pm-8:30pm

Location: Mckinley Arts Center

Reno’s “best kept secret” food truck event is taking over the McKinley Arts and Culture Center for it’s eighth year!! Happening EVERY Wednesday in the summer, Feed The Camel presents the best food trucks throughout the Truckee Meadows. Grab the kids, a blanket, and meet us “under the Keystone bridge” for your favorite food truck eats, local beer, and a chill evening.

RENO ACES BASEBALL

DISNEY IN CONCERT: MAGICAL MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES

The Reno Phil is proud to present Disney’s Magical Music from the Movies, featuring four Broadway caliber vocalists, clips from iconic Disney movies including Frozen, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King and more, and some of the best known film music in cinematic history. Reno Rodeo Kids’ Day is a free event hosting local businesses and non-profits to aid in educating kids on the tradition of rodeo, agriculture and the western lifestyle.  Please join us for a fun-filled day dedicated to the kids in our community.

MARK WELLMAN’S ADVENTURE DAY & ABILITIES EXPO

Date: June 5th 10am-2pm

Location: Sparks Marina

The FREE event is open to all people with disabilities, their families and friends. It’s a great day to try new things! Kayaks, adapted rock climbing equipment and adaptive bikes will be available for participants to try. The Abilities Expo provides access to information and resources from a variety of community organizations including opportunities to dance and exercise with the Note-Ables Music Therapy dance troop and do an art project with Arts for All Nevada.

3RD THURSDAYS

Date: June 16th from 4-9pm (third Thursday of every month)

Location: Victorian Square

This includes good food, cold drinks, live entertainment, crafts, chef demos, movies on the big screen, and all the art you can handle! Downtown Sparks is the place to be this and every 3rd Thursday of the month, all year round!

CARSON CITY

NEVADA STATE FAIR

Date: June 2 – 5th 11am-10pm

Location: Mills Park in Carson City

Come out and enjoy our great June weather celebrating the great state of Nevada.

Admittance is free. Four fun-filled days featuring thrilling state-of-the-art amusement rides, games, food, vendors, pageant and so much more. We’re happy again to have our classic food items including Indian Tacos & Funnel Cakes!

STAR PARTY & TELESCOPE VIEWING

Date: June 4, from 8:30pm-10:30pm

Location: Washoe Lake State Park. 4855 Eastlake Blvd., Washoe Valley, NV 89704

The Northern Nevada Astronomy Group will set up telescopes to view stars, planets, and other night sky wonders. They will begin with a short presentation as it gets dark. Participants should bring a light jacket and a lawn chair. Please bring a red flashlight if possible, as red light does not negatively affect night vision.

SATURDAY NIGHT STAR PARTIES

Date: 2nd and 4th Saturday

Location: Jack C Davis Observatory

NEVADA OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE

Date: June 18, 9am-1pm

Location: 3590 Arrowhead Drive in Carson City, NV

FREE event is to excite and inspire the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Over twenty outdoor organizations are coming together, each adding their unique perspective on the outdoors to the event.  Events include: archery, wildlife conservation, duck calling, leave no trace ethics, trap and skeet, nature crafts, gold panning, metal detecting, rock climbing wall, and so much more.
