Pottery Kits
Do your kids love to paint? Get a pottery kit from one of these local businesses:
All are offering curbside pickup and/or delivery on pottery painting to go kits! It comes with everything you need.
Once your done you return your pottery and they will do the rest and call when it’s ready to be picked up.
Creative Play Co
Owned by two local moms who also run a preschool. They love to focus on sensory and creativity and believe in the impacts it has on kids.

Urban Roots
Urban Roots is a nonprofit that strives to change the way children eat and learn through garden-based education.
During this time they are posting activities on their Instagram you can do at home with your kids.
Home Depot
We know Home Depot isn’t a “small business” but we do love the monthly kid’s workshops they host. Since Covid-19, they have postponed in-store workshops.
They are still offering the kits though! Head to your local Home Depot and grab a free kids kit!

Washoe County Library
The library is now offering Virtual Story Time twice daily 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.,.You can access the virtual storytime by simply joining their Facebook group!
They are also starting virtual book clubs, STEAM events, expanded digital content and databases, and educational and cultural events for all ages.
Food Kits
Treat Decorating
Who doesn’t want to decorate their dessert and then eat it too? These local businesses are offering DIY decorating kits! Yum!
Papa Murphy’s
Papa Murphy’s has always offered these mini DIY pizza kits for kids and they are a hit! Choose between pepperoni or cheese. Simply pick up, let the kids assemble their pizzas, bake, and enjoy!
Get Move’n
RoboTots
This youtube channel is based locally and offers movement and learning for young kids. I will turn this on if the weather is cooping us up inside and they need to burn off some energy!
Their frozen episode is a favorite in our house!
