SWEET: A TASTY JOURNEY

Sweet will take you on a journey through the history and manufacturing of candy, chocolate, and other treats. Learn about candies of the past, meet real-life Willy Wonkas, and explore cultures around the world through their candy.

Enjoy a family-friendly 5k.  March 6th at 8:30am. Join us for the Leprechaun Race, a 5K run and walk in Reno, Nevada through the Midtown and Wells Avenue districts.

WINTER WALK SERIES

Location: Rosewood Nature Study Area, 6800 Pembroke Dr, Reno, NV 89502

Come enjoy the local outdoor spaces this winter. Free hot drinks and snacks are provided. This is family-friendly. Loop is approx 1.5 miles. Jogging strollers should work fine on the trail.

BLAST OFF ON SCIENCE 

Date: March 12, Second Saturday of Every Month. 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Location: The National Automobile Museum

With exclusive activities from the Nevada Space Center, home of the Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada.

Simulated journeys throughout the solar system, Full-dome planetarium programs, Hands-on workshops, Live presentations, Virtual reality headsets, iPad interactive stations. $12 per person for Children and Adults. Also includes admission to the Automobile Museum. Designed for participants aged 8 to 12.

Nevada Museum of Art - Hands On! Second Saturdays

HANDS ON! SECOND SATURDAY

Date: March 12 (Second Saturday of each month), 10am – 4pm

2022 GUIDED SNOWSHOEING TRIPS

Snowshoes are available and included in registration. Registration is $30 per date. Transportation is included. All trips will meet at the Carson City MAC (1860 Russell Way). You can choose to drive yourself if preferred. Register at http://carson.org/ccpr.

SNOOPY AND THE RED BARON EXHIBITION

Date: February 19 – May 15, 2022

Location: Brewery Arts Center, 449 W King Street Carson City, NV 89703

Snoopy and the Red Baron, a traveling exhibition on view at the Brewery Arts Center, from February 19-May 15, 2022, celebrates one of Snoopy’s most recognized personas. Learn about this favorite storyline in Peanuts through high-quality reproductions of original comic strips and discover the rich World War I history Schulz used in nearly every strip.

Tuesday through Sunday from 12pm to 4pm,

Thursdays from 12pm to 7pm and for special events.

Entry will be for a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 for students and seniors.

VIRGINIA CITY

ROCKY MOUNTAIN OYSTER FRY | ST PATRICKS DAY PARADE

Date: March 12

Location: Virginia City

Head to Virginia City for a day of fun!  The fun starts at 10am.  The parade is at noon.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is part of the whole St. Patrick’s Day weekend activities including the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and the Ball Breaker Saloon Crawl.
