Spring Jamboree

Date: May 7-8, Saturday from 9am-5pm, Sunday from 9am-4pm

Location: Bicentennial Park, 999 Colorado Street Boulder City, NV 89005

A hometown two-day festival that appeals to sun-and-fun seekers of all generations. Stroll through the vendor village with more than 80 booths featuring handmade arts and crafts, gourmet foods, antiques, and collectibles. Or check out the Boulder City Rod Run car show with up to 300 vehicles.

A unique pedal car show includes beautifully restored pedal cars, tractors, planes, boats, and trains circa 1920’s. Entertainment ranges from live bands to belly dancers and ballet, carnival rides, and there’s even a dog show competition. You’ll find all your favorite festival foods here, too. Celebrate Spring in Southern Nevada!

Wine, Women, and Shoes

Date: May 15 from 1-5pm

Story Time on the Train

Date: May 21 at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm

Location: Nevada Southern Railway Museum, 601 Yucca St Boulder City, NV 89005

Story Time on the train on the Nevada Southern Railway. The kids enjoy a coloring page, craft and an age-appropriate story read by one of our docents.

Everyone rides the train from the depot to Railroad Pass and returns while enjoying the activities along with their parents and family. StoryTime is on each of the regular departures for the day.

17th Annual Best Dam BBQ Challenge

Date: May 27 – 28; Fri 4pm – 11pm; Sat 9am – 5pm

Location: Bicentennial Park, 999 Colorado Street Boulder City, NV 89005

A Nevada state championship event, up to 41 barbecue teams start setting up their grills two days before handing in their culinary masterpieces to a panel of professionally trained barbecue judges in this Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned barbecue competition. Bring the entire family to enjoy the food, shopping, activities and great weather on Memorial Day weekend. Ice cold beer, frozen lemonade, cotton candy, garlic fries, and all the great barbeque you can eat.

Park Pals

Date: Every Monday and Wednesday from 3-5pm (May 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30)

Location: Water Street Plaza, 240 S. Water St.

A variety of sports activities and games will be set up each day for your enjoyment. From kickball to tag, each day will be a new activity. Ages 5-18.

Archery Open Range

Date: Every Saturday (May 7, 14, 21, 28) from 8am – 1pm

Location: Whitney Ranch Recreation Center; 1575 Galleria Dr. Henderson, NV 89014

Ages 5-17; $4/day
Ages 18+; $7/day

The range master facilitates safe archery target shooting through coordinated directions to groups wishing to practice their skills. Bring your own equipment (no broad tip arrows allowed) or rent it from us for $10 per hour or $20 per day. Ages 5-18.

May the Fourth Be With You—Star Wars Movie Marathon

Date: May 4 from 9am-8pm

Location: Water Street Plaza; 240 S. Water St. Henderson, Nevada 89015

Experience a galaxy far, far away unlike you never have before on the Water Street Plaza’s 42-foot-wide digital screen with surround sound. Star Wars Episodes VII-IX will be on played live on repeat throughout the day on May 4.

Art Festival of Henderson

Date: May 7-8 from 9am-4pm, Daily

Location: Water Street Plaza

Featuring more than 60 contemporary artists, fine unique crafts, fashion and home décor artisans, as well as chalk art masterpieces, and daily entertainment. Pinot’s Palette will be offering a special painting activity on the plaza )

Stick around after Art Festival on May 7 at 7:30pm for Opera in the Movies, performed by Vegas City Opera. The performance will be held at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater and is free to attend.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Location: The Courtyard at The District at GVR

Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo at The District at Green Valley Ranch! This celebration is held in The Courtyard, featuring Mariachi ambiance music from Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts.

Shakespeare on the Plaza: Macbeth

Shakespeare returns to the Water Street Plaza in Henderson! Nevada Shakespeare Festival will perform their version of the classic tragedy “Macbeth.”

Wing of bat, eye of newt and three heaps of buffonery make this witches brew more than supernatural. Shakespeare’s brutal tale of betrayal, kinship, murder and greed gets an extra dose of physical comedy in this retelling of a classic tale. A fan favorite for centuries, the witches of Macbeth always provoke violence with their tempting prophecies and dark riddles. This time around, they do more than unleash mystical mayhem—they master the puppet strings and wield the slapstick on their mere mortal target.

Lunar New Year Exhibition

Date: Exhibit open through May 5

Location: ​​Clark County Library; 1401 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

This is the 12th year of this annual invitational exhibit which unites artists interested in exploring what the Lunar New Year of the Tiger means through their art. Artists are asked to investigate Asian Heritage and what the Tiger year means to Asian culture.

While some artists keep their visual ideas simple and others learn and incorporate complex Asian folk tales or stories in their art, artists also bring a mastery of technique and knowledge of the formal elements and principles of design to their art.

Toddler Time

Date: Every Friday from 11am-12pm (through June 24)

Location: Springs Preserve @ The Garden Center

Symphony Park Arts Festival

Come celebrate Las Vegas’ arts at Symphony Park, featuring Frankie Moreno, Paige and the Overtones, and Zach Ryan – alongside Las Vegas’ own fine artists and arts organizations. The Discovery Children’s Museum will have hands-on activities for kids, and there will be plenty of food and beverage available for all.


Wild West Extravaganza

Enjoy three days of celebrating Southern Nevada’s old west heritage at the Wild West Extravaganza. Entertainment includes Melodrama performs each day, Art shoe, Country Music and Live Broadcasting by KPFV-FM 98.1.
