Pegs has perfected the local diner experience with its delicious breakfast and lunch. Known as a popular spot in Reno, it has the same accolades here in Carson City.

This local chain restaurant is known for an out-of-this-world breakfast and lunch experience. There is plenty to see inside, can you spot all of the aliens?

Some of the kids’ favorites are the one large teddy bear pancake (smiley face included) and the junior hamburger.

Red’s Old 395 Grill

Location: 1055 S. Carson Street, Carson City, Nevada 89701

Hours: Daily, 11am – 9pm

Walking into this Carson City establishment founded in 2000 will take you back in time. Inside, the restaurant is full of old wooden buggies hanging from the ceiling, antiques, art and a 1920’s New York steamroller greets you as you arrive inside. Not only is the decor eye catching, but the food is as well.

The extensive menu features something for everyone, especially the kids. The children’s menu has options like ribs, fish and chips, flat iron steak and a juicy burger.

All items are large portions. If you have younger kids with you, one entree will suffice. For the adults, the wings are always on point and the BBQ as well. There is plenty of seating which includes a cozy outdoor patio. In addition, free kids coloring activities, high chairs and booster seats make this restaurant on the top spot of family-friendly options.

San Marcos Grill

Location: 260 E. Winnie Lane, Carson City, NV

Hours: Daily, 11am – 9pm

Take the whole family out for taco Tuesday! At San Marcos, kids eat free on Tuesday and this restaurant does not disappoint with its hidden gem features. Table side guacamole is an ordering option and your whole family will devour it in seconds.

Keep the kids satisfied with chip refills before dinner. The children’s menu includes tacos, burritos, enchiladas and chicken tenders. The rest of the menu contains a variety of Mexican cuisine options for the adults also.

Try the fish tacos or the variety of tostadas. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is friendly. High chairs and booster seats are available for use.

Great Basin Brewing Company (formerly The Union)

Location: 302 N. Carson Street, Carson City, NV

Hours: Daily, 11am – 9pm

Formerly known as The Union, this busy dining spot boasts plenty of room for the whole family and outdoor seating. There are many starters to choose from if the kiddos are super hungry and the kid’s menu delivers large portions.

The pizzas can be shared with the whole family and they are made right in the restaurant’s own pizza oven. The vibe is chill and on some nights, live music can accompany the dining experience.

They provide coloring sheets and crayons for kids and plenty of the kid/baby-friendly aspects of the restaurants mentioned previously.

Kei Sushi

Location: 3220 US-50 Ste 4, Carson City, NV 89701

Hours: Tuesday- Saturday from 11 am-9 pm, Sunday from 4-9pm

If you have little adventurous foodies on your hand, Kei sushi is one of the freshest sushi restaurants in Carson City. The sushi menu has a ton of options for a la carte and all-you-can-eat.

There is even an all-you-can-eat option for the kids. If you love sushi but the rest of your family isn’t a fan, there are plenty of teriyaki entrees and bento boxes.

Nashville Social Club

Location: 1105 S Carson St, Carson City, NV 89701

Hours: Wednesday-Saturday from 11am – 9pm, Sunday from 10am – 9pm

This brand new family-friendly restaurant transports you straight to music city! The menu is packed with southern favorites, which includes a children’s menu. There is even a Sunday brunch with a Maple Bourbon Bacon Benedict and Creme Brulee french toast.

The lunch and dinner menu introduces you to “chow chow” which consists of chopped & pickled green tomatoes, cabbage, onions, peppers & spices. Check out the live music on the Soft Note Stage or the Swan Music hall for dinner and a show!

The Fox Brewpub

Location: 310 S Carson St, Carson City, NV

Hours: Sunday-Thursday from 11am – 9pm, Friday/Saturday from 11am – 10pm

The Fox is a longstanding Carson City favorite known for its English-style pub fare. Try out the fish and chips, beef stew or bangers, beans, and mash.

There are a lot of options on the kid’s menu, including pizza, spaghetti with bolognese sauce, or traditional burgers. Enjoy patio seating with fire pits. The restaurant is located in Bob Mcfadden Plaza, home to a kid’s splash pad and occasionally, live music.

Flat Earth Pizza

Location: 210 East William Street, Carson City, NV

Hours: Wednesday-Thursday from 11am – 8:30pm, Friday-Saturday from 11am – 9pm, Sunday from 11am – 8:30pm

If it’s pizza night, take a visit to Flat Earth Pizza. As a locally owned business, they pride themselves on quality and many flavor profiles.

Everyone in the family can find a combination of pizza options and they even have the gluten-free crust to accommodate those with gluten intolerances. If you dine in, the kids can play games at the arcade while they wait and you can join in or enjoy a wing platter appetizer.
