Museum of Illusions

Located in between the Cosmopolitan and The Shops at Crystals, Museum of Illusions allows you to immerse yourself into a world of illusions through their perspective-changing rooms, enthralling installations, and spellbinding images. If you enjoy optical illusions, solving puzzles, and fascinating imagery, you’ve got to check it out.

Plus, kids ages 4 and under are FREE and children under 12 will get 25% off admission tickets. You can grab your tickets online for your family date, date night, or night out with the girls!


Location: 3215 South Rancho Dr Las Vegas, NV

There’s fun for everyone at Area15 – definitely grab tickets to Omega Mart and spend 2-3 hours solving mysteries (think of an escape room mixed with solving a puzzle). You can also enjoy delicious food, arcade, golf, axe throwing, and more.

Baseball Game at Las Vegas Ballpark

Downtown Container Park

Location: 707 Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101

This open-air shopping center is filled with boutique retail shops, unique restaurants, and live entertainment for the whole family – located in the heart of Las Vegas!

Kids will love the interactive playground featuring The Treehouse, and adults can relax while enjoying free concerts, movies, and more on the main stage.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory & Botanical Cactus Garden

Location: 2 Cactus Garden Drive, Henderson, NV 89014

This local chocolate factory is the spot to check out if you have sweet tooth lovers in the family.

Not only can you check out a local family operation, but you can enjoy experiences like their premium chocolate and wine tastings, self-guided factory viewing aisle, our three-acre cactus garden, and our gourmet gift shop. During select seasons they also decorate the garden.

Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix

Mermaid Swims at the Silverton

Location: 3333 Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas, NV 89139

Looking for something fun and free to do – well if you’re kids love mermaids and/or stingrays, you’ll want to head to see the Mermaid Swims at the Silverton. Several showtimes weekly for mermaid swims and stingray feedings.

Natural History Museum

Location: 900 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV 89101

From the desert to the ocean, from Nevada to Africa, from prehistoric times to the present, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum takes young and old alike on a learning adventure around the world.

If your family likes history, the Natural History Museum is the place to be.

Pinball Hall of Fame

Location: 1610 E. Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89119

The Pinball Hall of Fame is 10,000 square feet of pinball machines from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. It’s free to enter, but you’ll want to bring a lot of quarters with you to have some fun while the kiddos do the same.

While we have not visited, please note that we have received a lot of feedback that the Pinball Hall of Fame is not friendly to families with younger kids or those with disabilities.

Pole Position Raceway

Location: 4175 S. Arville, Las Vegas, NV 89103

Have some fun in with these indoor go-karts just off the Strip. Bump into one another and have some fun. Kids need to be over 48″ tall to participate as a driver.


Location: 3528 S Maryland Pkwy Las Vegas, NV 89169

Have you heard of SeaQuest Las Vegas? This interactive aquarium is located at the Boulevard Mall and is a hot spot for tourists as well as local school field trips.

*As of Fall 2023, we did not have the best experience in terms of cleanliness of the facility and the upkeep of animals in this aquarium. While kids may not notice, it is evident there are some issues here.

Springs Preserve

Location: 333 S. Valley View Bld. Las Vegas, NV 89107

Springs Preserve features museums, galleries, outdoor events, a colorful botanical garden and an interpretive trail system, and more. This world-class attraction is not only educational, but it provides a glimpse of the origins of Las Vegas.

Hoover Dam

Location: Visitors Center – 81 Hoover Dam Access Rd, Boulder City, NV 89005

Hoover Dam is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, on the Nevada-Arizona border. Enjoy a self-guided tour, rent a jet ski, and soak in the size of this beautiful dam.

Mt. Charleston

Location: 1650 South Pavilion Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135

Take a trip to Mt. Charleston for a wonderful day trip with the family. Take your favorite lunch for a family picnic, go on a hike, or head up to Lee Canyon for sledding, snowboarding, and skiing. During the holidays, there is even more fun at Mt. Charleston.

National Parks

Take a day trip to a National Park located near us. You can visit spots like Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon.
