Earth Day is just around the corner which means there will be a lot of earth day celebrations and get-togethers! Earth Day recognizes, celebrates, and promotes our region’s unique beauty while educating the public about local environmental issues.

Earth Day – Crystal Cove
Join Crystal Cove for an Earth Day celebration where they will be enjoying mother nature and all her gifts with food, drinks, sales, craft workshops, and a kid fun zone! This event is open to the public and pet-friendly!

TM Parks Foundation Plantapalooza
Join Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation for Spring Plantapalooza! Looking for volunteers to help plant at Rosewood Nature Study. Sign up on their website.

Earth Day Fest
Join the Animal Ark at their Earth Day Festival! They will be celebrating with local environmental groups and educators. This is a family-friendly event! This event features youth activities, guest speakers workshops, keeper chats, and more.
The cost is: $14 for Adults, $12 for Seniors, $9 for Youth, Youth under 2: FREE

Reno Earth Day
Reno’s Earth Day Celebration Returns!
With twenty acres of Idlewid Park transform into over 200 exhibits and activities for all ages. Arts & crafts, sustainability businesses and resources and local non-profit organizations. Activities include 3 stages of entertainment, specialty foods, local breweries, workshops, rallies, games and prizes.

Tahoe
Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival
The largest Earth Day celebrations in the area, the free community event takes place at the Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy. Check out children’s activities and brain teasers hosted by The Discovery. Plus, don’t miss hours of free live music by local bands.

South Tahoe Earth Day
Bring your friends and family to learn about ways to counteract global climate change through recycling and composting, alternative energy, water conservation, sustainability, and reducing our ecological footprint.
There will be live music and dance, a kids zone filled with activities, as well as arts and crafts, face painting, educational booths, and vendors.
There will also be food and drink for purchase and a raffle!

Earth Day Pollinator Habitat Creation & Tree Planting
The Walker River State Recreation Area with co-hosts Yerington Paiute Tribe, and Walker Basin Conservancy invites you to an Earth Day Celebration. Come ready to make native seed bombs, learn about bee’s soil, and hike with the rangers to learn about nature. We would also be planting Cottonwood and Willow trees along the river corridor. Enjoy awesome snacks while learning about the environment and conservation. The event is open to the public, $5 entry fee per vehicle, entrance fee waived for volunteers
